Marias River Livestock Association invites you to attend the Gentle Hand Livestock Conference, June 27 and 28th in Shelby, Montana.
Friday there is a great line up of speakers Jude Capper, Temple Grandin and a live low stress cattle handling demonstration by Curt Pate. Friday afternoon will also include a beef brisket lunch catered by Dick Kinyon, Black Iron Catering, Book signing by Temple Grandin, a mini-trade show with booths filled by our sponsors for the event, Beer Booth and Prizes.
Saturday we will have two separate events going. Jeanne Rankin and her team of Agro-Security Experts will present a seminar on Foreign and Emerging Livestock Diseases. The Team will discuss PEDv and Foot and Mouth Disease, the current threat and the past FMD crisis in England. Lunch is provided on site at the Comfort Inn and the caterer is Mike Harding of Big Ox BBQ.
Teens will have a great opportunity on Saturday to learn about sharing their passion for agriculture, food and fun on Social Media. Dairy Carrie, Ryan Goodman and Jude Capper will lead our future farmers and ranchers through how to use Facebook and Instagram to share their story. Lunch is provided on site at Ringside Ribs.
