KANO
Taiwanese Association of America Houston Chapter (TAA-Houston) presents you the long awaited Taiwanese movie - "KANO"
The heart-warming true story of an underdog high school baseball team from southern Taiwan that sparked a baseball revolution. Earning a rare opportunity to represent Japanese-held Taiwan in the 1931 empire-wide high school baseball tournament in Koshien, Japan, the "Kano" team comprised of Japanese, Han, and aboriginal players, must integrate their ethnically mixed roster and make the best of its unique strengths to not just survive, but miraculously thrive on their way to the championship game.
The Kano team created a legend at Koshien Stadium - their brave performance thrilling the crowd into shouts of "Heroes ... battlefield ... world ... KANO!"
The movie is 185 minutes in length and follow by a face to face session with director Umin Boya.
Please note the following:
- There is a total of two KANO screenings (1:30PM show and 2:00PM show). This page is for the 2:00PM show ONLY. (The 1:30PM show cannot be purchased online)
