Founded by the late Jacobby Debouvier and originally co-hosted by Latrese B. Carter, the Black Men Rock Image Awards has long served as a beacon of recognition for extraordinary Black men whose leadership, achievements, and contributions have made a lasting impact on their communities and professions.

Today, under the leadership of Latrese B. Carter, the organization proudly carries forward Jacobby's vision and enduring legacy of celebrating excellence, uplifting communities, and giving deserving individuals their flowers while they can still smell them.

Through the Black Excellence Group, that vision has expanded to include the Black Girl Magic Image Awards and Black Kids Rock Image Awards, creating a platform that celebrates the remarkable accomplishments of Black men, women, and youth.
