A Musical Theatre Tribute to Virginia C. "Ginna" Looney

Virginia C. “Ginna” Looney, spent the better part of three decades at Warren County High School, teaching math and touching lives - being “the bright light in an otherwise dark math world.” Yet her real gift was inspiring young people through theatre. Ginna was instrumental in reviving the Front Royal Little Theatre as Creative Director, directing numerous grand productions such as the musicals “Mame” and “The Sound of Music,” inspiring local residents to become stars, if only just for a night. Ginna was also a Charter Board Member of Blue Ridge Arts Council, founded in 1987.  

To honor her contributions to the arts in our community, the stage at Warren County Middle School will be dedicated in her memory, at a musical theatre showcase featuring professional vocalists, WCPS choral students, WCPS alumni/college students, WCPS teachers, and the Front Royal Oratorio Society.

Proceeds from this event will be used for the production a future WCPS County-Wide Musical, presented through an existing partnership program with WCPS, as well as the ongoing programs of Blue Ridge Arts Council.

$5.00 Student (ages 2-18) General Admission
