Ocean-Reef-Beach Festival Video Contest and Exhibition

Videos and entry forms must be submitted by December 13, 2015.  Entry fees are $25 per video.

Entries will be accepted in two categories:

• Students of a Brevard County High School or Middle School
• Open - not students at the levels indicated above.

Certificates and cash prizes will be awarded in each category with $75 for first place, $50 for second and $25 for third.  If more than 30 entries are received, the cash prizes will be increased.

Judging Criteria:

Incorporation of Theme

• Video should incorporate the theme “Celebrate the natural wonders of the ocean, reef and beaches.”
• Videos may suggest human actions such as removing plastic or other waste from the beach or fishing sustainably.
• Contains the Ocean Beach Reef Festival logo at the end.

 Creativity and Originality

• Video incorporates unusual style and techniquest to convey its message.
• Video encourages the audience to take conservation actions.

Entertainment

• Concepts or story are interesting and understandable.
• Captures the audience attention.
• Suitable for "G" audiences.

Production Quality

• Steady camera, smooth panning and transitions.
• Readable text.
• Clear audio.

Videos should not

• Promote specific businesses or organizations.
• Use copyrighted materials without written permission.
• Be strongly political.

Videos must be submitted in H.264 QuickTime File Format on DVD media.  Allowed resolutions are 1920 x 1080 and 1280 x 720.
