The 50 voice Lakeshore Chorale and Orchestra present a concert that features Handel’s Ode for St. Cecilia's Day. Based on John Dryden’s poem of the same title, the work is a musically joyful glorification of the power of music. The November 1739 premiere of the work enthralled London audiences with some of Handel’s greatest music, and will enthrall us just as much 276 years later!
