The Bozeman Ice Festival® presented by Black Diamond is proud to present:
Opening night for the 19th Annual Bozeman Ice Festival with Festival Director Joe Josephson
Doug Chabot from the Custer Gallatin National Forest Avalanche Center will be on hand to give a brief overview of conditions in Hyalite.
BIF is proud to welcome once again ground-breaking alpinist, author and mentor Steve House to the Emerson. Steve will discuss his experiences with his Alpine Mentors project, a non-profit he founded to train and climb with young alpinists, including integrating a training program with young and developing climbers. Steve will be on-hand to sign copies of his books Beyond the Mountain? and Training for the New Alpinism.
As a multiple-winner of the Award, Steve will announce the winners of the 2015 Mugs Stump Award, giving out $36,000 for climbers to face some of the most challenging climbs in the world. The Mugs Stump Award is an annual BIF exclusive brought to you by Alpinst, Black Diamond, Gore-Tex, Mountain Gear and Patagonia.
Come early to the Emerson Ballroom and enjoy the Bozeman Ice Festival presented by Black Diamond with food by the Emerson Grill, our new BIF Beer Rotator with micro-brews from a local brewery in a special commemorative pint glass, gear raffles and demos from our sponsors and athletes from around the world.
