Event Details

Our Poker Run starts off at the American Legion Post 22, includes three other stops, and ends back at Post 22.  Participants collect stamps on their playing card at each location, similar to a "Five Card Draw" game of poker.  The participant with the best hand at the end of the run wins 25% of the registration fees collected for the event.  Of course..... the more participants, the higher the pot!

Event begins at 10AM on 8/27/2022.  First bike out at 11AM; Last bike back in at 4PM.  Dinner begins at 4:30pm.  A $10 donation is requested for those who just want to join us for dinner, entertainment, and raffles.

Where do your donations go?
The Exchange Club is working in partnership with Veterans Matter on Project Zero.  Together, we are working to get the number of homeless veterans in Michigan, and across the nation, to ZERO.  Since the inception of Veterans Matter, 69 homeless vets have been housed in Saginaw, 4 in 2021 (2 of those were because of our Poker Run last September), and 2 so far in 2022.  Your donation is delivered directly to the landlord to cover the deposit and first month's rent for the veteran.  Veterans Matter works directly with our local VA to identify the homeless veterans in Saginaw and the surrounding areas.  Visit Veterans Matter for more information on the program.

What is the Exchange Club?
Each member of Exchange upholds three core values: Family, Community, and Country

Commitment to Family
is interpreted not only as one's own family, but all American families.

Commitment to Community
is the focal point for each Exchange Club's efforts.  Exchange is unique, as clubs have the flexibility to structure projects targeting needs of their communities, rather than being tied to a certain cause.

Commitment to Country
was born in the aftermath of World War II, a time of unquenchable patriotism.  Exchange Club members are proud to join veterans and other civic groups in promoting Americanism as the rich blessing of democracy and freedom.  Members also educate today's youth to cherish these values.

If you are interested in learning more about what Exchange does in our community, or how to join the organization, please contact Jennifer Sweney via email at travelbug227@yahoo.com, or call (989) 392-0190.
