The 50-voice Lakeshore Chorale begins the
evening with an audience favorite, Vivaldi’s ebullient Gloria in
Excelsis for choir, soloists and orchestra. Then the lights dim for the
dramatic world premiere performance of the Jim and Marilyn Biery's new chancel opera,
The Better Part, a musical portrayal of Jesus’ visit to the home of
Martha and Mary.
