Mountainfilm on Tour (the best short documentaries from Telluride’s acclaimed Mountainfilm Festival) is coming to Big Sky, MT for two nights this year on Friday, Sept. 15 at the Warren Miller Performing Arts Center and on Saturday, September 16, at the Lone Peak Cinema!

DISCOUNT FOR TWO NIGHTS:
Tickets are $15 for each night, or $28 for BOTH nights! If you buy both nights please use discount code MTNFILM17 on your purchase for a $2 discount at purchase.

FRIDAY:
Friday's film will be the feature length documentary, Charged, about local Bozemanite and chef Eduardo Garcia and his recovery and survival from being shocked by 2,400 volts of electricity in a freak accident deep in the Montana backcountry. This will be a special night, and we are pleased to have producer Dennis Aig and cast member Jennifer Jane on hand to talk about the film and answer questions! THIS PERFORMANCE WILL BE HELD AT THE WARREN MILLER PERFORMING ARTS CENTER, 45465 GALLATIN ROAD IN BIG SKY (SAME BUILDING AS THE HIGH SCHOOL). Seating is general admission, no reserved seating. Doors will open at 6 p.m. ANY UNSOLD TICKETS WILL BE AVAILABLE AT THE DOOR FOR THE SAME PRICE.

SATURDAY:
On Saturday night, we welcome a series of short documentaries selected just for Big Sky that were shown at the 2017 Telluride Mountainfilm event that took place this past May. These award-winning films will make you laugh and cry, and are guaranteed to inspire you! Last year's event was sold out, so get your tickets early! THIS PERFORMANCE WILL BE HELD AT THE LONE PEAK CINEMA, 50 OUSEL FALLS ROAD IN THE BIG SKY TOWN CENTER. Doors will open at 6 p.m., and there will be showings in both theaters starting at 7 and 7:15. Seating is general admission only.

Mountainfilm on Tour features a selection of documentary films from the annual festival that will explore the themes connected to Telluride Mountainfilm’s mission to use the power of film, art and ideas to inspire audiences to create a better world. Each year, the tour reaches over 65,000 people on six continents.

The event is sponsored by Grizzly Outfitters Ski & Backcountry Sports, with additional support from the Arts Council of Big Sky, Black Tie Ski Rentals and Big Sky Resort. For more information please click here.
