Martin Luther nailed his 95 theses to the church door in Wittenberg, Germany, 500 years ago. Two centuries later, Bach composed a celebratory cantata on Luther’s great hymn, “A Mighty Fortress.” Come hear the Grosse Pointe Memorial Church Choir and Orchestra perform this great cantata and other joyous choral music. The soloists are Kenneth Shepherd, baritone, Carol Ambrogio Wood and Suzanne Grogan, sopranos, Noah Horn, tenor, and Diane Schoff, mezzo-soprano. As a special treat, James Biery will perform the Bach Keyboard Concerto in A major.
