Music From The Rustbelt

On Sunday, October 13, Radio Mackinac presents Music from the Rustbelt with Detroit Music Award Winning guitarist/singer/songwriter Stacia Petrie.

Stacia easily has crossed the genre lines of Acoustic Folk & Bluegrass with High Flying Bird to Acoustic and Electric Blues with the best regional players in the Detroit area to the show stopping “Detroit Women” allowing her to belt it out.  In recent years, she has been nominated for 11 Detroit Music Awards and has appeared with Solomon Burke, Buddy Guy, Terrance Simien, Bobby Rush and Roy Young (played Keyboards with the Beatles).  Stacia’s music can be described as a modern blend of acoustic-based rock and blues, with innovative lyrics that embody a fresh perspective on imaginative, vital themes with heart-felt delivery.
