Zombie Jamboree at LIVE!

A little bit of New Orleans funk, blues, boogie-woogie and honky-tonk stewed with a pinch of Zydeco, Southern soul and Caribbean partymusic is what LIVE! at High Point in Montague, NJ, will present when the VooDUDES take the stage at 8pm on Saturday, October 26th, 2013. Theirperformance, typically described as ‘Mardi Gras on Wheels’, will set the backdrop for a Halloween Party with costume contests and a tapas buffet.
Tickets for the event are $10.00 per person in advance, or $15.00 per person at the door. The VooDUDES will perform on the main stagein the lounge, and a full menu featuring sushi and Asian cuisine from Executive Chef, Yun-Qiang Qu, will also be available in addition to the tapas buffet.
“Our guests will certainly feel like it’s Mardi Gras with this high-energy band,” said Jim Golden, co-owner of High Point Golf Club. “They are also a perfect fit for our Halloween party that will rattle the bones of all who attend. We hope that lots of folks come out dressed like Zombies or whatever they’d like to be for the spooky holiday, and really enjoy themselves and the music.”
For more than 20 years of touring 14 US States, Canada, Greece, and Switzerland, and through six recordings, the VooDUDES embody all the sweat, fun, and funk of Gulf Coast Roots Music. Featured in numerous festivals, including The Red Bank Jazz and Blues Festival, Philadelphia's "Jambalaya Jam", New York's "Benson & Hedges Blues Festival" and Ft. Lauderdale's "Crazy Crawfish Fest,” they've sharedthe stage with many of their favorite musicians--among them, Dr John, Levon Helm, Branford Marsalis, The Fabulous Thunderbirds, Buckwheat Zydeco, C.J. Chenier, Chubby Carrier, Mavis Staples and more.
The New Orleans daily paper, Times Picayune, wrote that hearing the band was like finding long lost cousins. The VooDUDES are all about keeping folks smiling and tapping their feet. Simply put The VooDUDES rock (and occasionally roll too).
Throughout the evening, the VooDUDES will also host a costume party with a ‘Zombie gift basket’ for winners in the following categories: Best Zombie, Scariest Zombie, Prettiest Zombie, Best OverallCostume, and more.
