TEDxBozeman will be held at The Commons at Baxter and Love on Friday, March 21, 2014 with live-streaming online around the globe. Tickets sales don’t last long to this annual sold-out event. This exciting independently-organized TEDx conference is a day to showcase innovative local presenters and engage the community in stimulating and inspiring dialogues.
TEDxBozeman has sought out some of the most innovative figures in Montana to speak on a diverse collection of topics related to the Big Sky State. This year’s theme of “Pioneer Spirit” explores how visionary Montanans continue to push their fields into new frontiers. Many of these pioneers have already been recognized on the national stage, with coverage on 60 Minutes, National Public Radio, National Geographic, and the Discovery Channel. However, this collection of speakers and performers was chosen based not only on their ideas, but also on how their concrete actions help Montanans continue in their pioneering traditions. The diverse docket of fourteen presenters includes entrepreneur Greg Gianforte, paleontologist Mary Schweitzer, business startup coach Rob Irizarry, science teacher Craig Beals, and community leader Tate Chamberlin. Visit our website to explore the bios for our complete list of presenters.
TEDx events are fully planned and coordinated independently by volunteers, on a community-by-community basis. TEDxBozeman is a non-profit sponsored by local businesses and organizations that share the same beliefs and values as TED. The event is aimed at creating dialogue and action, as well as giving Bozeman’s diverse community a platform for sharing their thoughts, ideas and initiatives.
