VDay Appleton 2011

Music and theatre come together to bring awareness against violence towards women and girls for Appleton's 2011 V-Day Event. ... Maximum Voice Theatre is a presenting a groundbreaking collection of monologues "A Memory, A Monologue, A Rant, and A Prayer" by world-renowned authors and playwrights, edited by Eve Ensler (author of The Vagina Monologues and The Good Body) and Mollie Doyle. These diverse voices rise up in a collective roar to break open, expose, and examine the insidiousness of violence at all levels: brutality, neglect, a punch, even a put-down. Featuring writings by both well-known authors and every day people, local actors and actresses bring these moving stories to life at Appleton's History Museum in the Castle. This event is sponsored by Maximum Voice Theatre Company.  Don't miss great original music by Sara Zacek starting at 6:30pm before the monologues! Admission to the event will be $10 in advance or at the door. Ticketing info and locations coming soon.
