An evening with two great Bluegrass Bands and Eustace Conway, star of the "Mountain Men" TV series.

Affectionately known as the "Lady of Tradition" in bluegrass, Lorraine has fronted Carolina Road for 15 years.  The band's distinct sound and old time flair can be attributed to the bluegrass-rich area of North Carolina from which they hail and borrow their name.  The band's chemistry with the audience makes the group one of the most popular bands among bluegrass fans today.  Since their beginnings, the band has achieved three number 1 songs on the Bluegrass chart.  For more information:  www.carolinaroadband.com

Rapidly rising on the bluegrass scene, Billboard-charting artists Liam Purcell and Cane Mill Road perform internationally and stateside winning both industry awards and the hearts of fans who turn out to see them at some of the industry's most iconic venues.  Named Momentum Band of the Year by IBMA in 2019, Liam Purcell and Cane Mill road have been recognized as one of the fasted growing bands in the industry.  In 2022 bandleader Liam turned heads by sweeping the Rockygrass Instrumental Championships on Guitar, Mandolin and Banjo, becoming the first person in history to do so.  Liam lives right down the road in Deep Gap, and will be performing to a hometown audience.  For more information:  www.canemillroad.com

Eustace Conway is a showman, an educator, an articulate communicator with keen attention to his audience. Living in a tipi and off the grid for most of his lifetime, Eustace has "lifetimes" of personal stories that he draws from to teach and entertain his audience.  He loves his mountain heritage and celebrates the ideals of self-sufficiency.  He is the subject of Elizabeth Gilberts book, "The Last American Man", which will be available for purchase and personal signing by Eustace during intermission.  He is the founder and visionary of Turtle Island Preserve, an outdoor education facility located near Boone, NC.  For more information about Eustace and Turtle Island Preserve:  www.turtleislandpreserve.org
