The story of a young woman’s journey to re-define herself against societal standards. Born into a environment where she’s surrounded by hopelessness, poverty and senseless violence, she struggles with her identity and dueling ideologies, yet she is determined not to become a statistic and plans to rise above her circumstance. As the story unfolds, she and her family experience a life altering event that forces them to deal with a matter from the past that threatens to shake the core of their family. In the midst of it all, she’s drawn to the One source that’ll eventually bring her inner peace and solace amid her pain.
