We are excited to offer a one day Feeling in Color painting workshop with Bozeman artist Allison McGree. This is an awesome class for anyone who wants to experience the joy of painting without the pressure of following “the rules”. This highly creative process starts off with a brain dump on your canvas and ends with an abstracted landscape painting that represents your feelings in color. There is no right or wrong and artists of all abilities are encouraged to join!
Snacks and drinks are included!
About Allison
“In my work I try to emphasize the enormous beauty in simplistic images. I hope to help others to take the time to stop and to begin to notice simple moments of splendor. I use light, reflections, and bright colors to transform objects from seemingly mundane to painterly and stimulating. In capturing and painting awe inspiring “moments,” I hope to share a connection with the viewer of my artwork.”

Supplies
Supplies are NOT included. Participants should bring:
- Any paintable surface, I recommend canvas or canvas board. I recommend a canvas board around 8×11 for your first painting if you have the option.
- Paint (acrylic or tempera paint). Have a variety of colors with a focus on blue, white, green, yellow and red.
- A paintbrush or two (one large and one small)
- Water cup
- A paper plate palette or piece of cardboard for your paints
- Rag or paper towel
- Writing utensil
- Painting supply packages are available, if you prefer to have supplies provided, you can purchase the materials package with your registration for a $30 fee.
