What: Level 1 Avalanche Fundamentals course for Snowmobilers

When: Evening lectures December 3 and 4 (Tue, Wed), 6-9:30 p.m. All day field session on Thursday, December 5.

Where: Cooke City, MT

Cost: $100 donation to the Friends of the Avalanche Center.

Requirements:

Everyone must have their own sled and rescue gear (shovel, probe and beacon).
Everyone must be an comfortable riding easy terrain off the groomed trail.

This course is limited to 16 riders!

Details: The Friends of the Avalanche Center and the GNFAC are putting this course on. The evening lectures are followed by an all day field session.The course content comes from the American Avalanche Association guidelines. Terrain, Weather, Snowpack, Decision-Making and Rescue will all be covered.
