The WAHS drama department is pleased to present Once Upon a Mattress as their annual spring musical.
Once Upon a Mattress will be performed Friday, March 17 at 7:30, Saturday, March 18 at 2:00, and Saturday, March 18 at 7:30. All performances will be held in the WAHS auditorium. The doors will open an hour before the show time, and the show will run approximately two hours. There will be a 15 minute intermission, during which there will be a concession stand with baked goods.
Once Upon a Mattress is the story of a cursed kingdom, Prince Dauntless must find a wife, but his mother, the Queen tests and rejects every princess who applies. When Princess Winnifred arrives, she charms everyone with her unique down-to-earth ways, and inspires everyone around her. Carried on a wave of wonderful songs, by turns hilarious and raucous, romantic and melodic, this rollicking spin on the familiar classic of royal courtship and comeuppance provides for some side-splitting shenanigans.
Tickets are $6 in advance for students and seniors and $8 at the door. Adult tickets are $12 in advance and $14 at the door.
