We are welcoming you to experience Baroque Music Montana performance of Fairest Isle on Tuesday, August 22nd at 6PM at the Gallatin River Gallery. Recognized as a Schwer-Toepffer Soirée, the performance is underwritten by the Schwer-Toepffer Memorial Fund and focuses on the love and deep appreciation for classical music in its many forms.
A ticket includes a reception with appetizers and wine from 6 - 7PM, with the performance starting at 7PM.
Come away with us on a journey to the British Isles. Eighteenth century England was a melting pot of traditional and cutting-edge arts, where folk melodies blended with new French and Italian forms. We explore these developments in music of Purcell, Handel, Oswald, Jones, and others. Bringing together dance tune song arrangements, and courtly sonatas this program truly has delights in store for everyone.
Surround yourself with sounds of the 18th century in a contemporary Big Sky gallery setting we know and love.
The artists performing in the program include:
Carrie Krause, baroque violin
David Greenberg, baroque violin
Anna O'Connell, harp
Nate Helgeson, baroque bassoon
Annabeth Shirley, cello
John Lenti, theorbo
