Historian Gary Kaunonen relates the history of the 1916 St. James Mine Strike in Aurora, and its ramifications for Labor on the Iron Range and beyond. Following the lecture, an exciting program of music as a vehicle for Social Justice and Protest is presented, including Rzewski's Which Side are you On?, performed by Christopher Shin, piano; Negro Spirituals by Dr. Lourin Plant; Finnish and Slovenian Workers Songs.
